Campfire 2021 FAQs

Campfire 2021 is right around the corner! Here’s what to expect at this event and when you visit Flying Horse Farms.

Getting the Flying Horse Farms is easy! Our beautiful facility is located just off I-71 in Mt. Gilead, OH. You can find directions here.

We are continuing to monitor area event practices and information from the State of Ohio regarding COVID. At this time, we plan to have the following safety protocols in place at the event:

  • All FHF staff, volunteers, and event vendors will receive a COVID-19 test before entering the event.
  • The majority of event activities will be outdoors with ample room to distance from others.
  • We will have masks available to all guests. Food servers will be required to wear a mask throughout the event. You are welcome to wear a mask at any time.
  • Sanitation stations will be positioned throughout camp for the event.
  • Aerus Air Scrubbers will be used in the Big Red Barn, Dining Hall, and tent during the event.

No need to bring change for the meter, valet parking services will be provided at the event.

Dress code for the event is “Glamp-casual.” Wear your favorite “fancy” camp wear. This could be buffalo plaid or a blazer. Or both! Mix together casual and dressy items for your perfect Campfire look. The event will be primarily outdoors, so dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for walking along our gravel paths.

As part of the Campfire event, you’ll have the opportunity to take a self-guided tour and talk with camp volunteers about various parts of camp that include Camp Cabins, the WellNest, the Dining Hall, Activity Center, HappyTimes Woodshop, and the Campitheater.

A delectable variety of camp-themed morsels like mac and cheese bites, cornbread and chili, a variety of grilled cheese options, sliders, and s’mores galore will be offered throughout the evening. A signature cocktail, the Campfire Mule, will be offered along with a full bar and mocktails.

Yes! Campfire will happen whether rain or shine. If it rains, portions of the event will be moved to our indoor areas.

While there will be some Flying Horse Farms campers attending the event as part of the event program, we recommend Campfire as an event primarily for adults.
